Redmond - Members of the 41st Infantry Brigade's 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry, headquartered in Eugene, and the newly designated 116th Cavalry, based in Redmond, spent the weekend in the semi-desert location for intensified armor and infantry training.

October 1974, Vol. 1, No 7 - Oregon weapons crew places fifth at Florida

Tyndall Air Force Base, FLA. - Oregon's weapons loading crew from the Air Guard 141st Fighter Interceptor Squadron finished fifth in the Aerospace Defense Command's fourth annual weapons loading competition.

November 1974, Vol. 1, No 7 (8) - Guard Marksmen take home 'gold'.

Camp Withycombe - Air and Army National Guardsmen from throughout the state participated in individual and team events for the Oregon National Guard Championships held Sept 28 and 29.

December 1974, Vol. 1, No 8 (9) - A chance to meet the chief.

Members of the Oregon Air Guard were among the first to greet President Gerald Ford when he visited Portland during November.
