Staff Sgt. Lisa Mesteth, NCO in charge of Heritage Park for Company B, 52nd Engineer Battalion, pulls apart a window sill at the former Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center opposite the Oregon Military Department. The building will be leveled and the grounds landscaped and turned into a memorial for Oregon Guard soldiers who served in the Spanish-American War.

Company B, 52nd Engineer Battalion, remove an 11,000 pound generator from the north side of the reserve center.

Pvt. Jason Scroggins, Company D, 2-162 Infantry Battalion, uses a cutting torch to dismantle metal pipes in the former Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center. The metal was recycled and will be reused.
